1.Principle responsibility & the purpose of this job is to initiating legal proceedings against the eligible delinquent accounts as referred by collections/Policy and to attend the court by appearing on day to day basis. He/she is the POA holder & representative of the bank for legal initiations taken up for RAC-Legal. He/she will file replies & statements on behalf of the bank before Judiciary/ Quasi Judiciary & Law enforcement agencies.

2.The job also involves, attending day to day proceedings of the courts for the cases filed by bank. Appear & face cross examination & file affidavits.

3.Basis the Volumes & Location, Legal Manager is earmarked to handle either one or two products of the HUB or will be handling all products of the Spoke location and nearby locations.

4.Legal Manager will co ordinate with collection team & vendors on day to day basis for issuance of summons/warrants & to execute in result oriented manner.

5.The Job also involves maintaining & updating the MIS & reports of Legal initiatives.
Initiating Necessary Legal Action
1.Download monthly reports for delinquent accounts.

2.Product wise Portfolio Analysis month on month

3.Timely filing and covering the exposure through legal by 100% as per policy and request received from Collections. Marking presence in all matters in the court and zero % dismissal of cases for default
Data Management and comprehensive capturing MIS and publishing the reports
1.Update the case status of cases filed by bank in MIS.

2.Maintaining the accurate MIS & reports on the activities taken-up on stage & date wise.

3.capturing recovery, cost and sharing the data before 10th of every month in the prescribed format
Defending the matters filed against bank in reducing the exposure
1.Effectively and timely managing all the cases filed against bank & staff in Judiciary, quasi judiciary and Law enforcement agencies.

2.Coordinating with internal staff in getting the necessary information to be furnished in the Court and defending the matter suitable in the courts and ensuring mattes are addressed appropriately and also keeping the function updated on latest developments for course corrections and suitable advising in reducing the Risk exposure.
Legal Vendor management
1.Reviewing with legal vendors on monthly basis on cases handled

2.Updating on the developments, ensuring bills for the services rendered in previous month to be raised in the immediate month before 10th in the format with supporting docs & information.

3.Ensuring allocated cases are properly represented and leading the matters appropriately
